What a wonderful time of year. Mettet has just ended and the Supermoto of Nations are coming up this weekend. This year marks the first time ever that the USA has been represented at the Supermoto of nations and we will be doing it with a bang! Johnny Lewis, Gage Mcallister and Monte Frank are headed to Italy to show the rest of the world the USA is a force to be reckoned with, and they're doing it with a bit of preproduction italian power. Incase you have yet to hear the USA SMoN team will be on Aprilia's. What you may not have known are the three bikes they will be on are three of three SMXV's in the world. Aprilia has had two of these bikes built for testing a new production bike to replace the MXV/SXV. From what I was told a third bike was built specifically for the USA team so they could field a team of these prototypes in the SMoN. Not much is known about them yet, they do look similar to the 2009 MXV but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. The prototype mxv's were almost indistinguishable from the SXV and RXV's in the past. What I do know now though are the bikes are gorgeous, fast and rare. Hopefully I can get a review from one of the riders after testing! Stay tuned for more info as I get it!
