Supermoto Saturday/NASS rider highlight episode 4
This week's Supermoto Saturday we're talking about Matt Burge. He's a veteran of motorcycle racing, starting in the early 70's at 5 years old with his dad, he's now 55 and still at it! Raced flat track most of his youth and turned pro at 16. Racing all over the Midwest. With his hometown being Sturgis South Dakota he raced the rally flat track race as a local kid growing up! Later on in the 90's he raced vintage flat track and then started racing supermoto in the early 2000's racing for several years in the unlimited class. He took a few years off to raise a family and then started back up when AMA Supermoto raced on the streets of Sturgis and was again the hometown kid and favorite every year it ran. Today he doesn't race as often as he used to but spends a lot of time riding his adv bike in the black hills. He still holds his own on a motorcycle track though and looks forward to going to the North American Supermoto Shootout to line up with the fastest in the sport. Matt is a tough competitor on the track and a loving dad off the track and is well known throughout his local community. Thanks Matt for being such a rad dude!
We're collecting donations to add to the existing North American Supermoto Shootout prize purse. These racers deserve more for the sacrifices they make. Here's our chance as fans to help! If you'd like you can donate to Venmo @NASSPURSE
