Supermoto Saturday/NASS rider highlight episode 6
This week's Supermoto Saturday we're talking about one of the national 250 riders for the first time. Steven Ingram! He's 27 years old, from New Hampton, New York and started riding dirt bikes at 6 years old. His local series is SMEC Supermoto and favorite track is Virginia International Raceway (VIR). He grew up riding quads and dirt bikes on family property. His first dirt bike was a Honda 110, shortly there after getting a Honda 150r for racing. He had a bad crash at 14 years old with multiple injuries. He had to hang the boots up until adulthood. During this time he picked up Drums which he still plays today! Getting back into racing as an adult Steve picked it right back up. One day a local shop needed a few riders for a supermoto endurance race. This would be the first time Steve road supermoto. He loved it and has since been an avid Supermoto rider competing all over the country. He's currently placed 1st in points in his regional series on the East Coast. His biggest supporters are his Girlfriend Ava and Jay one of the masterminds behind SMEC and the North American Supermoto Shootout. Steve builds the dirt sections for SMEC, him and Jay have a great working relationship. Steve would love to race in Europe one day at one of the many legendary tracks there. His favorite rider is Shane Narbonne who is one of the most well rounded riders in the country. Steve is qualified for NASS and is one of the favorites to win the 250 class in the shootout, coming on Oct 28th at Oklahoma Motorsports Complex. Friendly off the track, don't be afraid to introduce yourself to Steve while you're there. That's this week's Supermoto Saturday! Thanks Steve for your dedication to Supermoto!
