Supermoto Saturday/NASS rider highlight episode 7

This week's Supermoto Saturday we're talking about Ryan Samp! Another one of the national pro lites (250cc) class riders. He also rides in the open pro class locally on a 450 but is currently placed 2nd in points in the pro lites class in the national AMA Supermoto series. Ryan is 25 years old and from Albuquerque New Mexico. He started riding dirt bikes as a kid on a Honda crf80. Like all riders he fell in love with them. Always wanting to be on the bike he started riding a lot of desert single track outside of Albuquerque. This led into desert racing, which led into flat track racing and then he met Sean Butterman who introduced him to the sport of Supermoto. Something he really likes about supermoto is how diverse your skills need to be in order to perform well. His favorite track is Lightening on the Wolf in Shawano Wisconsin but he has a soft spot of IMI raceway in Denver Colorado, which he considers his home track. His favorite rider is Dustin Hoffman. His biggest supporter is Sean Butterman, him and Sean are friends off the track and Sean is always encouraging him to get better. This is his 4th season racing pro lites and he has goals of taking home the championship this year. Ryan is a rising star in the sport, don't miss out on meeting him at the North American Supermoto Shootout coming to Norman Oklahoma October 28th.

Thanks for reading! Catch you next week!
